Commercial and Recreational fishing should
not be in the same section, 8.2. The effects of
this proposed project will be unique to the
commercial fishing industry.
Point noted. Due to the broad area covered by
the Draft Plan this REA considers commercial
and recreational fishing in the same section
under different sub headings where possible.
The use of separate sections should be
considered further at a project level.

Alderney’s commercial fisherman has had to
purchase fishing licenses which give
unrestricted access to Bailiwick waters under
the terms of that license. These licenses are
not cheap.
